Hi Julie, So glad the article inspired you! Yes the drawers will work however, since they’re wood, they will eventually rot. You can paint them with outdoor paint or polyurethane to help it last longer. Also if you keep the plants in pots and then put them in drawers that would also help. This would be a good way to use those generic black pots that plants come in at the nursery. Hope that helps.
