Hi Mimi. That answer is going to be different for every one. If you&#039;re committed to only eating local food then you&#039;d want to stay away from eating food that&#039;s imported from hundreds of miles away. If you have more leeway in your desires and just want to eat seasonally, sweet potatoes would be considered a winter food because they are harvested before the first frost.
