I have been debt free, including my mortgage, since 2001. You will be amazed how much money you have when you aren’t making payments on your debts. To be successful, you need to temporarily give up luxuries, stop all impulse buying, and trade the instant gratification you get from buying for a satisfaction in saving. It isn’t easy. It’s like fighting any addiction. Once you’ve beat it, you’ll be so much more happy and secure.
